This isn't geocaching, but may be of interest. I won't list it on the calendar, but I will give the info here.
I went and did Night Owl, the night cache at Great Bear just north of Phoenix. I noticed a sign advertising an Orienteering class taught by the Fulton scouts.
The event time is 11 am to 3 pm, but I was told you don't have to be there right at 11:00 because the event is ongoing. The guy I talked with suggested that you get there by 1:30/2:00 so you would have time to do a trail. Since we have a soccer game that morning, we hope to arrive around 12:15 (but the family often helps me come later than expected).
After we're done with the orienteering, I may or may not hike to find the geocaches in Great Bear. That will depend on what the family wants to do that afternoon.
