ASP Geobash V

When: May 21-23, 2010
Where: Allegany State Park, Salamanca, Cattaraugus County, NY 14779
Directions: NY I-86, Exit 19 take Rt. ASP2

You can plan on a FREE, fun family-oriented gathering that will include activities for geocachers of all ages. The three day event will offer everything from games, drawings, and educational seminars to lots of caches of all types and terrian.

The park offers campgrounds, cabins and cottages or accommodations are available in two nearby towns, Salamanca, NY or Bradford, PA, so you can make plans to stay the weekend or longer.

FYI: Campsites for ASP are now open at ReserveAmerica.com for the geobash weekend.

Wow only a week away.   Who all is planning on going?   I am leaving Thursday night.  I would really like to do 101 Dalmations on Friday.  Want to do the 100 stars in a day cache.   If anyone one wants to meet up or anything, post a reply.     If not your loss!   If so, see ya there!!!

RicochetInfinity and I plan on leaving early Friday morning but caching our way there, so we should get there in the afternoon some time.

And arranging meetups now IS a good idea as cell phone reception is not completely reliable at ASP :)

I just registered on this site today, but my wife & I spent the weekend at ASP. Had a great time & found a lot of caches. Anyone who didn't go sure missed out on a lot of fun!

I agree with Protrucker, this was my first Mega and it was a blast!  I think I may even have done one of the night caches with Protrucker Friday evening.  Hard to keep everyone straight with all the new folks I met over the weekend.

Yes, the mega event (or double-mega?! since we passed 1,000 this year) is certainly a unique event. I had a good time again this year.
