EVENT 02/26/11: Mid-Winter GeoCaching Get-Together 2011

The Mid-Winter GeoCaching Get-Together 2011 event will be Saturday, February 26th 2011. Please put it on your calendars.
There should be other events that weekend created by other Blueline Geocacher Members (Friday, Sunday) as well - which are yet to be determined when and who.

It will be held at the Long Lake Town Hall. Same as last year.

Sounds like fun, but I'm going to have say "no,"  my tires aren't good enough and I just don't feel like sliding off the road.  Have a blast. . .

WHAT?????   You don't want FTF on a bunch  of new caches?????   What's wrong with you Lisa??

Most of the time that I've gone up the roads were bare & dry.   I've been to all of them so far.

My tires so suck. . . I was driving around at 20 mph all day driving people crazy.  I just don't trust them.  I think I bought them in March and they are already used up. . . something about driving to 1200 geocaches this year. . .

Just bought new snow shoes for 1st. Mate and myself for these events.  Went last year and they were great.  Pretty serious cachers up there.  Whole new meaning for winter friendly.   Booked at the Shamrock with Donnerparty.   Can not wait!!!

I just found out from another family of geocachers that the Corner Motel in Long Lake (the only motel/hotel that i am aware of that allows pets) has not decided whether or not they will be remaining open for the month of February and March.  If you are coming (are would like to come) up for the event and you will be bringing a pet, please contact me (geolobos@yahoo.com) as soon as possible, and i may be able to sway the owners in their decision.  Let me know how many in your party, and how many rooms, and for how many nights.

I just thought I'd put in a note, Shane, to thank you for all the amazing prep work you put into this weekend.  One of these days, I'll be able to attend, and I know it will be spectacular!
