In asking ST which one was the 1,000,000th cache, he said it might be in this system.  A 500 cache power trail in Nevada.   Road trip anyone?      GC24KMR     Roll Eyes Grin

Now, did they publish those 500 caches just so they could get the millionth cache?  Angry

It's kind of stupid looking. I'm not one to complain about power trails usually, but this one is questionable. And DON'T let geolobo see that power trail Smiley

Definitely cache saturation! Our reviewers around here would not allow it. Wonder why it was okay out there??

At least they took time to name them. Seeing 500 "Power Trail #359"-type titles would be pretty boring. That said, it doesn't look like a whole lot of thought went into the names as they are seemingly random.

There is another spam trail to the south as well. Not 500, but quite a few. Same user as that power trail and also came out this weekend. George Washington

Here's the GC map that shows a portion of the power trail as well as the presidential one to the south. Since GC limits maps to 500 caches at once, you can't see the entire power trail on one page Smiley
Power trail (eastern portion) & Presidential Power Trail (be patient -- it takes a while for the server to load the 400+ caches on the map)

They are having a flash mob there on 4/24 so you can get an extra smiley if you go then!

Guy in Astrailia has placed 1,000 caches in a row.   Not published yet, but toooooo many.   Imaging the cost and maintainace.

I definitely wouldn't want to place them, and to be honest, I'm not sure I'd really want to go get them, but it would be kind of fun with a group for one day. . . so who's going to Nevada with me? (and, no, I'm not driving my car there-we'd never make it for all the stops I'd have to make on the way!)

Hmm...I thought you said "to be honest" Tongue

As for Australia...you would probably just do a maintenance run every 3 months, stopping only at the ones that were marked with a Needs Maintenance icon. Imagine what that guy's Inbox looiks like after a group of 20 cachers run a strip of the caches over a weekend Smiley

I didn't say I wouldn't want to achieve them all, I just think that they can't possibly all that interesting, and after a while. . . .oh heck, who am I kidding?
