Lock & Lock Containers on Sale
« on: September 04, 2009, 08:47:26 »
I was in Wegmans on Taft Rd in Liverpool. I noticed that they have Lock & Lock containers of various sizes on sale or clearance. Go to the seasonal section there (school supplies on one side, a big open area with tables of sale items, and summer cooking stuff on the other side) and there are three mini-aisles in the back. One of those aisles currently has a bunch of L&Ls.

Not sure if other Wegmans have this sale as well. If you see the sale at other Wegmans, let us know!

Wegman's Dewitt does not have a similar sale going on.  Oh well.

So please, everyone, go buy some and then hide them. . . so I can find them!  OK, I get it, I need to hide some more too. . .

I saw some boxed sets of Lock & Lock containers at Wegman's Great Northern location on route 31. These are 20 piece sets (10 containers/10 lids), each container is a different size. They are located in the center seasonal section for $17.99. I'm sure some of the other Weggy's locations also have them. Not a bad buy at less than two dollars each.

The price went up at Herb Philipson's because of supply and demand.

Bluegirl and I always purchased every can they had in the Rome, NY store. Then all of a sudden they went up in price. We stopped buying them there and have now moved on to Lock and Lock containers - which are not getting any cheaper either.

I am also starting to place more handmade mystery type containers this year for the Mid-Winter event, do tot he price of containers.

The Wegmans on Taft continues to put Lock & Lock containers on clearance in the back section of their holiday aisle, the same deal as WeputtSC mentioned previously as well as other single containers.

Usually when I look in dollar stores they do not have Lock & Lock but instead have some cheaper brand that doesn't lock tightly like L&L does. I suppose it depends on the store you go to.
