Other Milestones
« on: April 03, 2009, 17:12:31 »
Want to celebrate a milestone other than 10, 100, 500, 1,000, or 2,000? Don't let the thread titles stop you -- post them here!

50 caches?
200 caches?
1300 caches?
27 caches?

Celebrate whatever you want!

I hit 300 last weekend.  Should I be proud, or should I realize that I have a ong way to go?

Yes, über-cool. As of this week, when you hit 307, that puts you in the top 40,000 geocachers according to cacherstats.com :) Any milestone can and should be celebrated! Here, I'll make up a rule: When you hit 10,000 finds, you should stop celebrating the 100-mark milestones. Does that settle it? :)

I've been caching for 14 months and am ranked 21,980. I prefer to look at the NY state and US country rankings, though, where I am 395 and 15,374 respectively  8)

Today was my Milestone #2400 at Vernal Pool EC. Was a super day for hiking and caching. I highly recommend visiting Stoney Pond State Forest.

Just keep ahead of Lisa, would you?

Congratz! 200 in under a month, not too shabby! Imagine what your stats would look like if you didn't have a cache thief.

This summer TD Lover has now found caches in 49 states. The drive to Hawaii proved to be a bit wet! We will try for that one next spring or summer. Photos of the final 2 parts of this search can be found at www.galemccall.net and go to either Geocaching USA part 1 or geocaching USA part 2 which contains Alaska.

Every time I search around on this website, I see another little jab at me that I have missed in the past.  Don't worry Bullseye1, I'm not breathing down your neck-not yet any way.  Heidi may have to sweat it a bit though!

Oh, and I see Chocolatnut can be bribed so the next time I head off for a FTF in her neck of the woods, I'll go more prepared.  I've arrived one time too many at a location where she was "just about" to make the grab. I remember "C" being very impressed with my 12 or 13 FTF's when I went to Letchworth last year, but I knew that Gloria and Hubbye were way ahead of us.  When I asked Chocolatnut, she said she didn't know, but had over 300 and I'm sure it is quite a lot higher by now.  So here is my added milestone: I'm way past 100 FTF's now, with about 135 of them.  Mermaid once counted and decided almost a third of them are at his caches.
