Bluegirl and I will be taking a cruise to the Western Carribean (Saturday January 9, 2010 - Sunday January 17, 2010). We are hoping we wont have to place Abby (our female Bernese Mountain Dog) in a kennel for the period we are away for vaction (but we know it may be our only option). Anyway, just curious if there is anyone out there wanting to stay in our place in Long Lake (Central Adirondacks) for a week to do some geocaching, snowshoeing, X-Ski'ing, Skiing at Gore, snowmobiling, Ice Fishing, or just plain ole enjoying the mountains.

Currently we have a few feet of snow and Long Lake has an average of about 10" of ice.  All the snowmobile, SnowShoe & X-Ski trails are open.

We have a very large Dog Kennel (with Dog House) on our property. The only thing you would be required to do would be to Feed and walk Abby in the morning and evenings.  The rest of the Day, she can spend the entire day in the Kennel. She sleeps in the house at night.

Ooh, if I had more notice and it lined up with my boys' school vacation, I'd consider taking a week off and helping you out. Unfortunately it's too close and the kids will be at school. Hopefully you find someone and can thoroughly enjoy your cruise!
