Geocachers of Central New York Collectable/Tradeable Items

There was talk a while back about creating a patch with this site/group's logo on it. (See top left of this page for the logo as it stands today).
Should we create a Geocachers of Central New York collectable/tradeable item?
If not, why not? For instance: I'm a cheapo and I don't want to lose money on a group order.
If so, what kind?
  • The traditional trackable geocoin like we see all over? High quality and possibly more popular.
  • Trackable pathtags (trackable only at the pathtag website).
  • A non-trackable coin or chip -- various options on quality and price but no tracking fun.
  • A logo patch for all your patching needs.
  • Some other collectable/tradeable item I haven't listed here.

I have an in with a place that produces patches and would use our logo and any wording we may want to add.  A 2" circle would be fairly reasonable in price, depending on how many people wanted to go in on them.

Yeah, I think a nice trackable coin or a patch would both be nice ideas.

I sent the logo above to a patch company and they suggested a 2" patch to include the NY State map and wording. . . Here is the pricing they sent me-if this in fact the way we choose to go. . . 2 inch

I think 100-300 is the range we will want to order.  Consider shipping, which isn't too bad-less than $10 for that size order.
