No problem about the map=I didn't realize it was hard to do.  Hey, what's the PB plunge?

Just curious if the TB#'s could be posted so we can track the bugs and see history.  Or if this is not an option only to owners.
It is what it is!

Well November had some interesting developments! Namely, I should start off by saying:
CONGRATULATIONS to bullseye1 for being the first racer to reach the goal cache!!!  :o ;D
bullseye1 has won the special prize for being the first TB to arrive at Art in the Desert #1: A $10 Herb Philipson's Gift Certificate! (This will be awarded at the Finish Line event in the summer of 2010.)

Below are the current standings as of 12/2/09. Silver Bullet naturally leapfrogged everyone this month, jumping 11 places when it not only made the 2050 mile trek to Arizona but also gained the 2500 point bonus by reaching the finish line first! (Remember, 2nd place still gets 2,000 for arriving -- keep racing!) Lisa's Little Purple T-Shirt also made the trip to Arizona and jumped 7 places up to 4th. speed or not racer stayed in New York but had a busy month and moved to Maryland, pushing it eight whole spots from 13th to 5th! The Dog did not see any activity and kept its last place status. All the other races went down in the rankings this month: Blue Man Yo, Going Nuts, and Hot Tiger took the biggest hits by dropping four spots.

  • 5300 bullseye1's Silver Bullet (TBR2050)
  • 3967 The Boogie Man (TBR2050)
  • 3208 TBR2050 Happy Cat
  • 2692 Lisa's Little Purple T-shirt TBR2050
  • 857 speed or not racer tbr2050

  • 367 Windborne's Nissan GT-R (TBR2050)

My little purple t-shirt moved-Yippee!  It went in the wrong direction, of course, but it made it to a tb hotel, so I can't complain.

Which racer will place second in the race?!  ??? Lisa's Little Purple T-shirt is now in AZ. Happy Cat is not too far away, currently in CA. The mileage leader, Speed or not racer is in Hawaii with over 5 K miles logged. The Boogie Man could soon be the new mileage leader, this racer has been recently picked up in AZ by a cacher from Switzerland, and may be heading off to Europe soon!  :o The race winner Bullseye's Silver Bullet is still hanging out in AZ. What's exciting about the race is anything could happen anytime!  ;D

Well, the fact is that we don't even know which racer will place first in the race. bullseye's racer got to the destination first (and won Rick the gift certificate), but the points race continues!

I have been trying to calculate the points near the end of each month. I took last month off and have been thinking about figuring out the points yet again.

Oh, and Dave . . . you didn't mention how Hot Tiger was doing :)

Continued luck to all the racers!

Thanks for clarifying the race has not officially ended. The TBs I mentioned are currently the closest to Art in the Desert #1.

Oh yeah, Hot Tiger is chillin (literally) in Binghamton, NY.  8)

LCSM's TB has reached the destination cache in Arizona at 2nd place, which will give that TB plenty of points.

Congratz, Lisa (and Carlos, who technically entered the TB)!

After a loooooong delay for mostly personal reasons, I have a couple updates.

CONGRATULATIONS to LCSM for being the second racer to reach the goal cache!!!
Unfortunately there are no prizes for coming in second except for the 2,000 point bonus, but great job!

Below are the current standings as of 1/31/10.

speed or not racer jumped from 5th to 1st place during Dec/Jan thanks in most part to a trip to Hawaii. Lisa's Little Purple T-Shirt hopped over a couple TBs as it reached the finish line and got the 2,000 point bonus. Windborne's Nissan GT-R and Glow in the Dark Non-Working Light were 12th & 13th at the beginning of December but managed to climb to 6th & 7th by the end of January. This was a very polite couple of months -- despite several jumps in the rankings, no one dropped more than 2 spots. We do see a trend of the top half of the rankings starting to pull away from the bottom half, though.

  • 5873 speed or not racer tbr2050
  • 5823 bullseye1's Silver Bullet (TBR2050)
  • 5045 Lisa's Little Purple T-shirt TBR2050
  • 4173 The Boogie Man (TBR2050)
  • 3213 TBR2050 Happy Cat
  • 2802 Windborne's Nissan GT-R (TBR2050)
  • 880 Glow in the Dark Non-Working Light TBR2050
  • 677 mandmsyr's racing lizard TBR2050
  • 585 TBR2050 Dreams Do Come True
  • 576 TBR2050 Blue Man Yo
  • 532 LUCKY SEVEN TBR2050
  • 398 Going Nuts (TBR2050)
  • 382 Hot Tiger TBR2050
  • 339 The DogTBR2050

I have the current totals but will wait until next weekend to post them. You know -- for suspense.
